What is JustGigIt?

JustGigIt is a Facebook, iPhone and Android* App for Bands to connect with Fans, Venues and other Musicians. Further the App helps the Artists to connect with industry contacts such as Sound Engineers, Producers, Booking Managers, Artist Managers etc. JustGigIt is the musicians business in a box. Whether you are a professional musician or just like to jam with others, JustGigIt let’s you set up jam groups and play schedules. Join JustGigIt and start playing!

How is JustGigIt different from facebook or other social networks?

JustGigIt is similar to facebook and other social networks as a social connection tool. But, that’s where the similarities end. JustGigIt is not a static social network but an active live event promotion tool. In other words, JustGigIt helps you rally your fans to your shows.

Do you ever wonder why there weren’t many fans at your last show? You have definitely spent some time to go to Facebook fan page and other social sites to post messages to your fans about your show – yet, only few showed up. Wonder why? The answer is simple: For fans to know about your shows, they have to go to be on their facebook pages. Not everyone logs into facebook all the time although the stats claim that people are logged into Facebook lot of time. The problem is that most people leave facebook on their computers. Plus, as you know Facebook shows only selective messages in the news feeds. So, your message might have been lost in the whole lot of messages on facebook.

I’m a manager at a bar that plays live music, can I use JustGigIt?

Yes. You will definitely find JustGigIt useful. We understand that sometimes the artists bail out at the last minute; you can always find the artists with the touch of a single button.

How do I get started?

It’s very simple to start using JustGigIt app. Just download the app from iTunes App Store or Android App Market or visit www.facebook.com/JustGigIt and click on Launch JustGigIt app and follow these easy steps:

1. First time users, register using your Facebook credentials or registration form.
2. Once after registering, select your role

c. Venue Manager/Bar Manager/Producer (if you have gigs and are looking for bands and artists, select this role)

3. If you are a musician or artist or band,

a. Select My Account -> My Bands and set up your band’s profile by clicking on the “+” button at the top.
b. Once you setup the band profile, fans and venues managers can search for you and Band.

4. If you are a venue manager or producer, click on Search and start searching for bands and artists for your gigs. Also, you can post Gigs by going to My Account -> My Gigs -> “+”

Why do I need to register and how often do I need to sign in?

We need you to register so that we can setup your profile and send you notifications when someone with a Gig is looking for an Artist or Musician or Band.

You need to register and login into JustGigIt app only one time. The app will automatically login from second time onwards.

How do I setup my Band’s profile?

Select My Account ⇒ My Bands and set up your band’s profile by clicking on the "+" button at the top.
Enter Band Name, Description, Photo, Facebook, Twitter and Myspace page details and Save
For Facebook page, enter your Band’s facebook page such as www.facebook.com/justgigit etc or if your band doesn’t have a facebook page, you can also enter your facebook page. Note: Facebook page address can be entered in @yourfacebookpage format
For Twitter account, enter in @yourtwitteraccount format (for example @justgigit)

Can I setup multiple Bands profiles in JustGigIt?

Yes. You can have as many bands setup in your profile as you want.

How do I link my Band’s Facebook page?

Enter your Band’s facebook page in the Profile page as www.facebook.com/yourbandsfacebookpagename or @yourbandsfacebookpagename. Alternatively,

How do I link my Twitter page?

On the profile page, enter your twitter account details in @twitteraccountdetails format

I use other social networks to reach out to my fans, can I add them to JustGigIt?

Currently, we don’t have links to other social networks. But, send us an email to contact@justgigit.com with the list of social networks that you use and we will add them in our app.

How do I add my live event (or show)?

Go to Post Gig/Event and enter the details of the live event.

• Select the City

• Select the Venue (If you don’t see your city or venue, email us at contact@justgigit.com and
we will add those in no time. Also, you could add a new venue using the JustGigIt facebook app)

• Select the Genre, Start & End time of the Gig

• Select one of the Options

   – Choose a Band (select from one of your bands. You might see all the available bands)
   –No Band selection (use this option, if you are looking for a band for this Gig)
   –Looking for a Musician (use this option, if you are looking for a musician for this Gig)

• Enter any other details such as songs list, any highlights of the events etc.

How do I notify my fans about my upcoming show?

When you post your live events in JustGigIt, the app will automatically notify your fans in JustGigIt, Facebook, Twitter and Myspace about your live event and also send them reminder notifications. So, you don’t have to do anything.

How do I invite my Fans to join JustGigIt and follow my Band?

Please mention to your fans at the live shows about following you on JustGigit and also, post a message on your facebook fan page inviting your fans to join JustGigIt and follow you and your band.

The bar manager agreed to give discounted drinks to my fans, how do I send the specials to my fans?

If the bar manager agreed to give a special discount such as half priced drinks etc to your fans, you could use JustGigIt app to send instant notification to your fans.

On the main menu, select Messages and click on Send Message and select your Band. Enter a brief notification about the discount and submit. The JustGigIt system will instantly notify your fans and post a message on your facebook fan page.

In fact, this is a great way to get more fans to your show.

What is Gig Talk?

This is similar to message board for fans to connect with each other and your band members. Your fans will use this GigTalk during your show and could even request their songs through it. You could chime in to the GigTalk and chat with your fans during the show.

What is Check-In Count?

This shows how many of your fans have checked in to your show. We keep a running count of how many of your fans show up at your event. Currently, we don’t show this count of past events to you. But, in future we will have an area in the App where only you could see this count for your past events.

How do I increase my fan base?

Very simple. Just setup your band profile in JustGigIt app and keep posting your live events in the app. The app will do all the work for you. It will post your events details on your Facebook Fan page, Twitter, Myspace and JustGigit. Further, the app will find new fans for you every single day. When new fans follow your Band in JustGigIt, we will reach out their friends and their friends about your Band.

And one other thing you could do: During your shows just tell your fans to join JustGigIt app and follow your Band. You know

How often would my fans get notified about my live shows?

Two notifications per event. One notification as soon as you post your live event and one follow up notification couple of hours before the start of the event. We monitor the success rate of these notifications and tweak the frequency of the notifications to improve the number of fans that show up at your show. We are constantly working to get more fans to your shows.
